Consultation Workshop on Gendered Barriers to Digital and Green Economy in Cambodia

On 29 August 2024, CDRI's Centre for Educational Research and Innovation and the Centre for Development Economics and Trade of CDRI, in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank, hosted a consultation workshop on “Gendered Barriers to Digital and Green Economy in Cambodia” at the Himawari Hotel Apartments.

Our researchers presented and validated the research findings on the gender barriers that challenge the adoption of digital technologies and green practices in MSMEs, as well as pursuing education and careers in the field of STEM.

This workshop also provided a platform for in-depth consultation and discussion on the study's recommendations with approximately 51 experts, policymakers, and practitioners from key ministries, civil society / non-governmental organisations, development partners, industry associations, higher education institutes, and STEM graduates.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the speakers and participants for dedicating their time to this important workshop. Moving forward, we will integrate the research findings and insights shared during the workshop into our final study report, which will be shared in the upcoming dissemination workshop.

This report will be instrumental in addressing the numerous challenges women face in education and economic engagement.
